Silvia Abbà

I graduated first in Biology, then in Plant Biotechnology at the University of Turin and I've just joined the LMV group for the one-year research fellowship "The aphrodisiac gut" sponsored by a HFSP project.

I consolidated my passion for microbes while working in a private microbiology laboratory by performing and planning Quality control analyses.

I'm resolute and knowledge-thirsty, combined with a generous dose of sharp mind.
Can't be more excited to start this new journey with LMV!

Elena Savio

I got my BSc in Biotechnology at the University of Turin and my MSc in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the University of Bologna which gave me the opportunity to perform my Master's thesis abroad, at the Max Von Pettenkofer Institute, in Munich.

Thanks to this period abroad, I also had the opportunity to work on Cytomegalovirus chemokines surrounded by an international environment where I had the possibility to grow from a scientific and a personal point of view.

I have just joined the LMV group where I will contribute to the genetic investigation of viroporins.

I consider myself motivated and passionate with a particular attention to detail, a positive attitude, and willing to learn.
